Islamic State has released these still shots showing the destruction of an Iraqi M1 Abrams tank. The cause was a bomb placed on a static car or a VBIED ("vehicle-borne improvised explosive device"). The procedure is well know, in cities it is relatively easy to get close to vehicles or place bombs in locations likely to be used.
