T-90 and T-72 in Aleppo

This high-resolution video taken in Western Aleppo shows a T-90A and T-72B belonging to the Syrian Army. The former is a standard vehicle, but in the second some modifications have been performed. Two ERA bricks have been placed where the IR projector is typically located.

  1. Just highlights the need for durable urban side armor packages. Even something simple, non-ERA that can be replaced/patched up on the cheap in the field.

  2. Hello TR1, nice to know that you are reading my blog. Yes, losing side armour has been a constant problem since the start of the war.

  3. Hi Alejandro, I actually have been looking at your Spanish-language blog fairly often, but using google-translate. Alas I was lazy with Spanish back in school, and somehow after 5 years with a Spanish speaking girlfriend have managed to pick up almost nothing. Oh well! Maybe after another 5 years....
